An Amazon order has two specifications. The first describes the product the customer buys. The second describes the unit, carton, and shipment data Amazon expects to receive. Both need to be settled before cargo leaves China.
Build the buying file from the listing
Send the product specification, target quantity, destination marketplace, required date, and current supplier information. Include the sellable-unit definition and any packaging or labeling requirement that affects production. A listing image can guide the discussion, but it cannot replace measurements, material, accessories, and an approved sample.
Use the product sourcing service if the factory has not been selected. If a supplier is already quoting, the supplier verification guide helps check the company before a deposit.
Keep the first order controlled
A smaller trial may be possible when the supplier accepts it. The trial still needs a written specification, sample approval, production follow-up, and inspection. Small quantities do not make a wrong barcode, weak package, or missing accessory less serious.
Create the FBA shipment after the ready quantity and carton plan are stable. The prep team needs the label files from the current workflow, not a saved file from an older shipment. Amazon FBA prep covers the unit and carton checks completed in China.
Plan freight around stock and receiving
Compare air, sea, courier, or a split shipment using the final carton measurements. A stockout risk may justify sending part of the order faster while the balance follows by sea. Keep Amazon check-in and receiving separate from carrier delivery when planning availability.
