FBA preparation should match the shipment that exists in the seller account. Old label files and instructions copied from another SKU create receiving problems that are expensive to correct after the goods leave China.
Send the live shipment information
Before goods arrive at the prep point, provide the final SKU list, sellable-unit definition, box-content data, and labels generated by the current shipment workflow. Include the product-specific preparation instruction for bags, warnings, sets, expiration data, or fragile protection where it applies.
The prep team should not decide which FNSKU belongs to a product by comparing listing photos. The seller controls the SKU mapping. The warehouse applies the supplied instruction and records anything that does not match the physical goods.
Check units before sealing cartons
Confirm that each unit is the correct variation and that required barcodes scan. Cover other product barcodes when the shipment instruction requires an Amazon barcode. Photograph a finished unit from each SKU so the seller can review the visible label and packaging.
Carton packing follows the box-content plan. Each box needs the unique box ID produced for that shipment, along with the carrier label required for the route. Do not photocopy or reuse a box ID. Weights and dimensions should come from the sealed carton rather than an early estimate.
Reconcile the handoff
Before pickup, compare the physical carton count with the shipment record and packing list. Keep a label register and representative carton photographs. If a carton is repacked, update the related record instead of moving a label without documentation.
