The playbook covers supplier search, RFQ fields, sample rules, inspection photos, and freight planning. It does not contain a list of supposed hot products.
Who should use it
It is written for a buyer preparing a first order or cleaning up an order that still lives across marketplace chats, screenshots, and separate quotations. The aim is to put the product, supplier, payment, quality, and freight decisions into one working file.
What is inside
- A starting brief that gives suppliers enough detail to quote the same product.
- Questions for checking the legal entity and payment instruction before a deposit.
- A sample approval record that can be reused during production and inspection.
- A release check covering the lot, labels, cartons, documents, and remaining payment.
- A simple way to compare freight using the finished weight, cube, destination, and required date.
Use it beside the RFQ template when asking for prices. Once a supplier is shortlisted, continue with the supplier scorecard and quality control checklist.
